Innovation Week 21st - 24th February 2011 - Koli

Ageing Population Service Innovations

The aim of Innovation Week is to deepen the strong strategic partnership between North Karelia University of Applied Sciences, Savonia University of Applied Sciences and John Moores University and create a basis for collective international multi-sectoral research and development projects. This brings additional value to the partnership, not only through transfer of information and knowledge but also through sharing of the new tools and methods. At the same time, the tightened professional bonds make exchange between the teachers possible.

Another objective is to identify the service needs of the aging population and create ideas for them. The seminar also aims to strengthen the personnel's entrepreneurship skills and productisation of their own knowledge.

Innovation Week will be held in Koli in February 2011. It will be organized by the ACE (Advanced Collaboration for Entrepreneurship) Project of North Karelia University of Applied Sciences. Week’s schedule is adapted from the business catalysing model created by the ACE Project, in which participants form teams and develop their business ideas in workshop collaboration with the help of professional consultants.
